Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Junior Data Engineer who will learn to build and maintain the data pipeline infrastructure that powers our carbon footprint platform. You will work closely with senior engineers to develop Python-based systems that transform customer data (CSV files, spreadsheets, and other formats) into our API, enabling seamless carbon calculations for the food industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn to build and maintain Python data pipelines that convert customer data formats (CSV, Excel, JSON) into our carbon footprint API.
- Assist in designing data transformation workflows that handle various supply chain data structures with proper validation.
- Support the development of automated systems for data ingestion, processing, and API integration.
- Help troubleshoot customer data integration issues and provide technical support for platform users.
- Contribute to building proof-of-concepts and technical demos showcasing data transformation capabilities.
- Create documentation for data processes, API endpoints, and integration workflows.
- Respond to customer support questions about data processing and help troubleshoot technical issues with guidance from senior team members.
Qualifications
- Recent graduate or early-career professional with Python programming experience from studies or personal projects.
- Basic understanding of data formats (CSV, Excel, JSON) and interest in data processing and transformation.
- Familiarity with programming concepts like APIs, data validation, and basic database operations.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (Swedish language skills are a plus).
- Passion for sustainability and desire to make a meaningful impact in climate technology.
